Shoreline board extends comment period, releases fee schedule
asked that a permit be received for each. The same holds true for existing structures. Structures larger than what's required "in aid of navigation", both new and existing ones, will have their excess assessed "10 cents per square foot of measurable surface area" annually.
Applications and questions about the Tribal ordinance and regulations may be sent to: Shoreline Protection Board -- CSKT, Box 278, Pablo, MT 59855.
Two Eagle is on priority list
Two Eagle River School in Dixon is listed third on the BIA's construction priority list for new facilities.
Director-principal Clarice Beaumont told an awards banquet audience March 21 that the plans call for buildings to accomodate 200 students to be completed in two years. No location was disclosed.
A BIA publication said the revised priority is being published in the Federal Register. Ahead of TERS are schools in South Dakota and Arizona Fourth on the list is the Rocky Boys Reservation, followed by schools in Idaho, Washington and Wisconsin.
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Low-income Energy Assistance Program will not accept any applications for energy assistance after April 29,1983, and cannot pay for any fuel delivered after April 30,1983.
Public review of the Tribes' proposed shoreline protection regulations was extended three weeks to last Friday. Coordinator Jim Steele said a few comments had been received before the new deadline was announced and most were positive. Among the negative responses was concern about the Tribes' power to deny permits and "levy a tax", the initial short review period, and the lack of a fee schedule in the document copies distributed around the valley.
The fee schedule has since been voted on by the Shoreline Protection Board Included in those provisions are a $25 filing fee to accompany applications for permission to build a new structure, and a $50 annual mooring fee. The board waived all fee requirements for public docks, but
