The Tribal Maintenance Program will be taking court action against people who are presently behind in their payments to the program. You have or will be properly notified on this action, and have ten days from the notification to pay this bill. On delinquent water bills, you will be given 10 days'

World Day of Prayer For Peace
On March 6, 1981, women from 150 countries throughout the world will be sponsoring and celebrating a World Day of Prayer For Peace. Churches in St. Ignatius and Arlee, in conjunction with the Indian Community, will sponsor services as follows: St. Ignatius Church on MARCH 5 at 7:00 p.m. and at the Sacred Heart Church in Arlee on MARCH 6 at 6:30 p.m. All persons are invited. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the church meeting hall.
The theme; "The Earth is the Lord's. . .", is a timely one, and the service will be an opportunity to focus concern and prayer for the ecological awareness and action which is needed to restore health to our world. This year's international service was written by American Indian women of Church Women United from six tribes - Cherokee, Choctaw, Hopi, Seneca, Sioux and Winnebago. They brought to the task their sensitivity to nature, the earth and its creatures and the rich spiritual heritage of the American Indians.
The service has four main parts: The Sorrow of the Earth, a remembrance of the pain inflicted upon the earth and her children by exploitation and pollution; the Healing of Earth's Wounds, a call to God to bring healing and transformation; The Offering of Gifts of Self and Substance, a recognition of the critical need for reconciliation of persons with each other, nations with nations, and humanity with the earth's eco

MITPB: calling all Tribal Councils
Montana's Inter-Tribal Policy Board has put out a call for all of the state's seven tribal councils (plus some from Wyoming) to meet tomorrow (March 3) in Billings. Purpose of the conference, according to MITPB Director Clayton Small, is two-fold: to provide the forum for the tribal councils to discuss issues of common concern and to establish a foundation for the annual MITPB conference.
Following the day's presentations, the key theme of which is "The New Administration and its Impact on Indian Tribes", a celebration dance will be held. Emcees will be Bearhead Swaney and Earl Old Person, who's chairman of the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council.
