ATTENTION
ELECTION AND REGISTRATION
The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes on August 17,1979, requested the Secretary of Interior to hold a Secretarial Election for the purpose of adopting a new constitution for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. An authorization has been received and that Election will be held in conjunction with the Tribal Council Election on December 15,1979.
All enrolled members residing on the reservation who will be 18 years of age on or before December 15, 1979 and desiring to vote on the New Constitution must register prior to November 21,1979, in order to be eligible to vote in this Secretarial Election.
A copy of the new Constitution and a copy of the present Constitution will be mailed to each registered voter prior to the election. In addition to these copies, there will be a summarization of the changes to the present Constitution as included in the proposed document.
in addition to the above, each Tribal member living on the Reservation will receive a letter informing them of the registration schedules and locations. Again, it is imperative that each Tribal member residing on the reservation register to vote in this election.
Due to errors printed in the Missoulian on November 6, 1979, the following registration schedule is as follows from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. '

19th - Dixon - YACC Office \
12th and 14th - St. Ignatius • Community Center 13th and 21st - Hot Springs - Senior Citizens Center 16th and 21st • Ronan • Elderly Indian Center 19th-Pablo Tribal Office
12th and 20th • Poison • Senior Citizens Center 13th and 16th • Elmo - Koostatah Hall
In addition, registration will be open from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, November 12th through November 21st, in the Tribal Office, Pablo, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Flathead Agency, Ronan, for anyone wishing to register during this period.
The polls will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations. Registered voters must vote in the districts where they reside.
