PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that on December 15, 1979, an election will be held for the purpose of electing five (5) Tribal Council Members, one from each of the following Districts:
Councilmen whose term is expiring in 1979:
Arlee District Fred M. Whitworth, Sr. St. Ignatius District Noel Pichette
Pablo District Victor Stinger
Hot Springs District Thomas E. Pablo Dixon District Elmer (Sonny) Morigeau
The term of office for the Council is for four (4) years. Newly elected members take office at the first Constitutional Meeting of the Tribal Council following the election.
Any member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation, who is 21 years of age or older may announce his/her candidacy for the Tribal Council, providing a legal residence has been maintained on the Reservation in the District of his/her candidacy for at least one year next proceeding the election by notifying the Secretary of the Tribal Council in writing
of his/her candidacy at least fifteen (15) days before the election. Closing date of filing will be Friday, November 30,1979, at 4:30 p.m.
A list of names of the candidates will be posted ten (10) days before the election. Polling places will be announced ten (10) days before the election.

The Fourth Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for October 5th, and will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Bowling Alley in Arlee, Montana.

The Daniel Lawrence Pablo Post *68 of the American Legion, will meet in the Banquet Room of the Pablo Bar on Monday, October 8th at 8:00 p.m.
