VOLUME 8 NUMBER 17 NEW MOON OF THE WANDERING JANUARY 1, 1979
^mmmmm^ Notice
Application for a second -class mailing permit for the Char-Koosta will be made within 60 days.
In compliance with the rules and regulations for the Class II permit, the Tribal Council has directed that all enrolled tribal members now receiving or wanting to be placed on our mailing list - must fill out and sign the application form on page four.
Subscriptions for tribal members are paid for by the Confederated Tribes at a cost of $10.00 per year for each member - providing they have requested the Char-Koosta through the attached application only.
It has been the practice over the years to place various Indian, state and national organizations on a courtesy service list (at no cost to them), plus exchanging newsletters with various Indian tribes. This courtesy service will have to be curtailed.
These organizations and individual non-Indians may subscribe to our newsletter by filling out the same application form and paying the $10.00 annual subscription fee.
Beginning with the March 1, 1979 issue, all tribal members who have not mailed in their applications for the Char-Koosta, will not receive their copies until they do so.
No back issues will be sent out upon verbal, telephone or letter request.
We urge all enrolled members to complete the attached subscription form and return them as soon as possible for continuous service. Babe Deadrick Sincerely,
Editor DougAllard
Char-Koosta Tribal Secretary
