STASSO CASE DISMISSED
On August 24, 1972 Lasso Stasso was hunting west of Thompson Falls, Montana, and shot a deer. The exact area was the White Creek in the National Forest lands. He was arrested by Montana State Fish and Game Warden for illegally taking a deer out of season.
Stasso was found guilty of the offense in Justice Court at Thompson Falls, the decision was appealed to District Court in Sanders County.
The appeal was taken before District Court Judge Green on January 27, 1975, In reviewal of the evidense

LIBBY DAM DEDICATION
Tribal Dancers and Drummers under the direction of Johnny Arlee, have been selected to perform at the dedication ceremonies to be held August 24, at Libby Dam.
Special guests for the ceremonies will include President Gerald Ford, Senator Mike Mansfield, Governor Thomas Judge and Lt. Governor Wm.

COUNCIL SELECTS CAP DIRECTOR
The Tribal Council has selected Britton Salois as the new Community Action Director. He was chosen out of 15 Tribal Members who applied for the position.
Britt was born in Browning, and raised in the Ronan Pablo area. He graduated from Ronan High school, and has completed a six months BIA management training program through Eastern Montana College in Billings.
