Fund-raiser features tepee
The Two Eagle River School bi-lin-gual program will be raffling off an 18-foot Indian-made tepee April 5, at the bingo at the St. Ignatius Community Center.
Bi-lingual instructor Felicite McDonald says the tepee isn't one they bought ready-made. She and Lucy Vanderburg made it with help from others. She also says the canvas used to make it is guaranteed to be
leak-proof and smoke-proof. (She expressed a little wondering about smoke-proof, though.) The tepee comes with a door and two canvas sacks for stakes and pins.
Tickets are $1.00 each. The proceeds will help offset the cost of the annual Elder's Week encampment in May. For tickets or more informa-tion, coniac t Barney Finley at TERS, 246-3598.
