Construction of tug "Howard James" at Somers Lumber Yard, Montana. Built by J. W. Swanson (man in middle,) rebuilt several times until it was replaced by the "Paul Bunyon" in 1926.

President Taft; Roland H. Hartley (with top hat). Roland lived in Everett, Washington, and operated a lumber business. He was later Governor of Washington.
