Description	Trends from 1970 to 1982 in the Bob Marshall Wilderness complex of three adjacent wildernesses were analyzed. Data on use characteristics, use distribution, visitor characteristics, and visitor attitudes were compared. The greatest changes were increases in hiker use compared to horse use, and much more dissatisfaction with trail conditions.
