Questions about videos, cds and other media?

16 November 2006 by Samantha Hines

If you have always wondered where we keep the videos, whether you can play that movie for your class, if we have sound effects cds for your projects, or anything else involving media, we have created a new Guide to Media at the Mansfield Library to help answer these and other questions. If you have any suggestions, comments or further questions we can answer, just leave them in the comments.

I am interested in pictures of the Donahue mansion that was moved from the corner of Gerald Ave. to make room for Christ the King Church. The house is now located at 205 Evans. I would like some pictures or articles of the house at its original location. How or where could I possibly find this information? (I tried the Missoulian archives but my searches failed to yield results)I wondered if the UM library may have something since Christ the King church has such a strong connection to the university. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The K. Ross Toole Archives, located on the 4th Floor of the Mansfield Library, has three Donohue Family photo albums. Some of the pictures may include their home on Gerald, but the photographer’s focus was on the people as subjects rather than the house. Even though none of the photos include the home as a whole, some have interesting composition that includes identifiable parts of the home.

You are welcome to view the photos in the Archives and Special Collections Reading Room on Level 4 of the Library. Archives hours during the school semester are M,Tu,Th,Fr 9-5 and Weds 9-8.

We provide a photo order service and offer both prints and scans.

If you have any questions, please contact Archives staff directly at or (406) 243-4403.

Hi Brenda. Sorry about the delay in responding. That’s an excellent question. The best resource we have for photos of that type is our Archives department. They can be reached at 243-2053 or I will also forward your question directly on to them.
