Explore the papers of two Missoula writers

27 October 2010 by

The professional and personal papers of Missoula writers Patricia Goedicke and Leonard Wallace Robinson are now open for research at the Mansfield Library Archives and Special Collections. Patricia Goedicke, a professor of creative writing at UM from 1981-2003, wrote 13 books poetry including The Tongues We Speak, which was named a notable book by The New York Times Book Review in 1990.  Leonard Wallace Robinson authored two novels and two books of poetry. The joint collection contains correspondence, journals, and audio and video recordings of Goedicke and Robinson, who married in 1971 and moved to Missoula in 1981.

To celebrate the opening of the papers, an exhibit featuring materials from the collection is on display in the Theta Rho Room until March 1, 2011.  For more information about the collection, see the University press release by clicking here.
