As the fire season heats up, it helps to know about tools for getting reliable, up-to-date information. InciWeb is a relatively new web-based tool for keeping track of wildfire information. The site provides current, incident-level information on the extent, cause, location, and containment of fires. Each incident page provides maps, information on fire behavior, and an RSS feed to get automatic updates on specific fires. You can search the database by state and by incident name.

I am getting a tad frustrated not being able to get any info on the Day Fire. I am in the middle of Frazier Park, with animals and art to rescue and the site does not respond.
The news is not accurate and I would like to know what is going on.
I am sure the site is being bombarded by inquiring minds, But… Frustration prevails.
The media is zilch in this mountain town, so I just wait to see flames before I decide to flee.

I hope this helps. Stay safe.
