Left Wing Radicalism
Pamphlet Collection

The nine boxes of pamphlets, handbills, and booklets that make up this collection were mainly produced by radical Left organizations, including the League for Industrial Democracy, the Students for A Democratic Society (SDS), and the Weathermen. Most of the material dates from the time period 1945-1975, with the greatest concentration from the Vietnam era. Much of the material contained in this pamphlet collection originated in Seattle, and was acquired from E.W. Pfeiffer and Bill Walker. The collection is arranged by subject and contains a number of mimeographed ephemeral items produced for internal circulation by SDS and other groups, as well as outreach material. There is also material produced by the governments of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China.
